The word for news in French is plural : les nouvelles, although you can have une nouvelle – a piece of news – suspect that is the derivation somehow.
I am not aware of DD having any mountaineering skills, although TM does do a bit of walking. I’m not sure what Mt Hope was hoping for, just saw it as a headline..
Just listening to Beethoven piano trios – very therapeutic – recommend.
