Last night in Longridge, a stolen JCB took out the ATM machine from the local co-op. We are very close to the motorway,no longer a sleepy little village.
You’ve set me off reminiscing again with your title. I recently recalled the days of Radio Luxembourg and mistakenly attributed to them:
“Dick Barton – Special Agent is a radio thriller serial that was broadcast in the BBC Light Programme between 7 October 1946 and 30 March 1951”
We used to listen to that with Dick B. and his two righthand men, Jock and Snowy. At one time they were up against The Green Triangle Gang. My witty elder brother had us all laughing suggesting the it was the YHA.
I’ve just read it on LancsLive. They must have made a fair bit of noise getting that out, surely someone must have heard something.
it’s all on cctv apperently. But I doubt they will ever catch them.
Scary!
We had similar in Milnthorpe a few years ago.

I may beg getting Jock and Snowy mixed up with Biggles – it’s all so long ago.
All very vague memories for me.
Easy pickings for the ram raiders
That was done a few years ago in Clitheroe too, the spars cash machine.
I think the gangs pick on smaller towns where there are fewer people out in the night.
