Looking out of the kitchen window today, I spy this young hedgehog nibbling on some of the catfood.
I know, or rather I hope, that the family is still about in the garden. They have a home at the back and regularly forage across the lawn.
I keep meaning to install a motion camera to watch nocturnal activities.
Anyhow, it is a joy to observe this little creature.
My Wiltshire travels are on hold until my new laptop arrives, but I should be able to post this from my phone.

A lovely photo BC. I adore hedgehogs, they are so cute 😊
Photo taken on my phone so I could post without my computer. A learning curve.
I’m so privileged to have them in my garden.
Good sharp photo with the phone. I have had good results recently with my phone photographing models and decided to give it a go again outdoors. I tried on my last walk up St. Sunday’s Beck but I just can’t hold the thing comfortably. That is partly because it is held in a needed protective leather case which flaps about, and also holds other odds and ends, and I gave up yet again. It’s a pity because phone cameras are so good now, but many items that are made for multipurpose are compromised. So it’s back to the old Panasonic TZ80 which works pretty well providing I don’t press the wrong buttons to operate some setting relating to some feature that Prof. Brian Cox would have difficulty understanding.
Still prefer my Lumix for photography, though it has not been totally reliable. The camera on my phone is fairly basic.
Suppose if purchasing a new phone I could specify a better quality camera.
Enough new technology for now – new laptop this afternoon, which will no doubt be too complicated to start.
Good luck with the new computer!
What a cute little hedgehog.
I post on and take photos with my phone now. To be honest my laptop is pretty old and takes ages to load up these days. I still use my camera in the hope of seeing wildlife but it does take ages to transfer the photos onto my laptop and then onto my phone. It’s a bit of a faff…
I’m finding lots of modern technology a faff. I would need a better phone to take decent pictures and post atr the same time.
I’m so envious
My garden keeps me surprised with wild life.
I need to buy a motion activated camera,
