My son drops me off at a large shed (clinic in these NHS days). on a commercial estate off Eastway, Preston, next to Aldi and Greggs. See you in half an hour.
I have come to have laser treatment, YAG, to my right eye, which had blurred 18 months after cataract surgery. Posterior capsule opacification, a common problem. (YAG stands for Yttrium Aluminium Garnet, a synthetic crystal widely used in technology, medicine, and jewellery.)
Drops are used to dilate my pupil, and 15 minutes later, after a few flashes and bangs, I can see perfectly well again. That’s the sort of treatment I like.
Good news. Glad it went well.
Amazing isn’t it?
