CATS GALORE.

I almost named this post Pussy Galore until I realised the double-entendre. The Pussy Galore I was thinking of was a female character in the 1959 James Bond film Goldfinger. Apparently, Ian Fleming often used double-entendre names for his female characters, which seems rather childish. They would probably be frowned upon these days, and I might have been ousted from WordPress if I had used it for my title.

This week, I have had the daily task of feeding friends’ cats whilst they are away in the Lakes for half term. This is not an onerous task, as they are related in some way to my two cats, Oscar and Dusty.

My two.

Today, the weather had improved, so I incorporated a walk into the proceedings. JD was roped in for some good company.

Our destination was Chipping for a short stroll round familiar quiet lanes.  You will recognise it from many past posts. We did not come across anything new but soaked up the atmosphere of a lovely part of Lancashire on a still autumn day.  Here are a few snapshots.

When we arrived at the my friends house the cats were waiting for us, did I mention there were 9 of them, possibly 10 or 11.    Job done. They won’t get fed today as I’m off to my youngest son’s wedding.

As much as I love stained glass windows, and that one is a beauty, the cats take my preference here. I would be in cat heaven with that lot though presumably they won’t die of starvation if you miss them out for a day. I love the pic of your two looking out of the window, they look so cute.
